v0.4.0 Latest

A Granular account that follows you to any computer

5 new1 fixed

Granular now has accounts. Sign in with a code sent to your email, no password. Already a customer? Use the email you paid with and what you bought comes along.

  • New Find it in Settings, Account. Once you sign in, your plans, AI credits, published links and creator profile follow you to any computer.
  • New Know someone without an AI subscription? New users now start on free AI credits during setup, with no card needed.
  • New Settings, Billing & plan: switch Pro between monthly and yearly, or Granular Hosted between Base, Plus and Max. Or move to Lifetime.
  • New Settings, Links: every page you put on the web or shared live, in one place, with the project it came from. Copy or download any of them.
  • New Creators: your creator profile now lives on your Granular account. Edit your bio, photo and links from your card at the foot of the Library.
  • Fixed Windows: Codex and Gemini start again. Before this, they could not start at all.
v0.3.97

Show a teammate your app, signed in as you

5 new1 improved

Share live now puts a teammate inside the app running on your computer. Plus Opus 5.5 everywhere, one-shot Git prompts, and a preview that remembers.

  • New Share live: give a teammate a temporary link to the app running on your computer, signed in as you. Share button, set a password, done.
  • New Granular checks your app answers the same through the link as on localhost, and tells you the one line to add when it does not.
  • New Opus 5.5 in the model picker: on your Claude login, an API key, and Granular Hosted, where it costs less than Opus 5.
  • New Anonymous usage counts, so we learn which features matter. Never what you type. Asked on first run, off any time in Settings, General.
  • New Cmd+K, Git prompts: two one-shot rows catch up with your main branch or push a PR, resolving conflicts themselves.
  • Improved Preview back and forward remember every page you showed, however it got there, and file links in the chat open in the preview.
v0.3.96

Share live, with a password

4 new4 improved2 fixed

Live links get a proper dialog, publishing handles big photos and secrets more gracefully, and going offline no longer leaves a session spinning.

  • New Share live opens a dialog first: choose how long the link lasts (30 min to 4 h) and set a password, typed or generated. Visitors without it see a password page.
  • New A page that trips the secret check can now be published with the secret hidden (shown as sk-ant-…MMMM). Your file is never changed.
  • New Three new rows in the / menu: Publish this page and Take this page off the web act on the page in the preview with the same inline cards the agent uses (instant on auto-allow, a card to confirm on ask-first), and Create a roadmap card from this conversation sends the brief as a β–Ά chip.
  • New Settings gets a Live link section: every live link this computer has open, which session holds it, how long is left, visits, and a Stop button. Separate from Published links.
  • Improved Published pages keep their photos: images up to 1 MB each and pages up to 10 MB now travel with the page, and big PNG photos are slimmed on the way.
  • Improved Going offline ends a running reply within seconds with a clear "could not reach" card, on every engine, instead of minutes of thinking or a bare "slow down".
  • Improved Open in browser now works for local pages, "Manage links" sits on the free-link limit dialog, and the Publish button says "Publish anyway" when something will be left behind.
  • Improved Free plans get one live link at a time (three published links as before). Pro and Lifetime keep 25.
  • Fixed Publishing checks a remembered link is still alive before updating it, so a link taken down on another computer can no longer come back from the dead. Result cards name the file, and the agent is told what you published or took down outside the chat.
  • Fixed If your Claude sign-in gets signed out on this computer, the session now says so plainly and offers a one-click way back in - instead of the Claude account quietly vanishing from the picker.
v0.3.95

Swap a license

1 new1 improved

Moving from monthly to lifetime, or handing a code to a teammate, no longer needs a support ticket.

  • New Remove any license from this computer from Settings, then paste a different code in its place.
  • Improved Removing never cancels a subscription. The code keeps working elsewhere, and hosted credits stay with it.
v0.3.94

Room to think

2 new2 improved2 fixed

Connected tools no longer crowd out the conversation, and a session always runs on the account you picked.

  • New Connected tools load on demand, so a session starts with almost the whole window free instead of nearly full.
  • New Codex and Gemini can be the boss too, with real workers, and Codex shows its own activity as it goes.
  • Improved Switching sessions and projects is about three times faster.
  • Improved No more Auto: each session starts on a named model, remembered per project.
  • Fixed A Claude session no longer quietly runs on your custom provider when your Claude sign-in works.
  • Fixed The context gauge stops trusting a window size the model has already proved wrong.
v0.3.93

Your own providers are enough

1 improved2 fixed

If you run Granular on your own providers and have no Claude sign-in, sessions no longer ask for one.

  • Improved A long project name no longer stretches across the row of controls under the prompt.
  • Fixed Bring your own provider? Sessions now use it instead of asking for a Claude sign-in you never had.
  • Fixed Removing a provider now clears its record, so a deleted account cannot keep reporting itself as broken.
v0.3.92

Codex keeps working, and failures explain themselves

1 new2 improved2 fixed

The Codex tool updated itself and removed the mode Granular used to talk to it. This release speaks the new one, so Codex keeps working either way.

  • New When a provider fails, you now get a plain-English card saying what happened and the one thing worth doing.
  • Improved Quick actions has its own search button, nested Git and saved prompts, and works with Ctrl on Windows.
  • Improved The controls under the prompt share one type and colour system, with readable contrast in both themes.
  • Fixed Codex works again after its own tool updated. Both the old and new versions are supported, so nothing to reinstall.
  • Fixed Copy buttons on sign-in codes and prompts actually copy now, and tell you when they have.
v0.3.91

A proper welcome, and no more context dead ends

1 new2 improved3 fixed

The first five minutes now show you what Granular actually does, and long conversations on Granular Hosted keep going instead of stalling.

  • New New here? Show Me Around runs a real five minute tour: live commands, a page on screen, and a second agent at work.
  • Improved The upgrade window lists Granular Hosted plans and the models each one runs, with the unlock code above them.
  • Improved The natural reply voice can now be downloaded any time from Settings, under Voice.
  • Fixed Long chats on Granular Hosted no longer stall on "Prompt is too long". Tested well past 700,000 tokens.
  • Fixed Large markdown files open in Docs instead of being turned away, and any refusal now gives the real reason.
  • Fixed Switching projects lands on the session you had open there, with no flash of the wrong one.
v0.3.90

Steadier voice, and Windows keeps pace

1 improved2 fixed

A small release with two fixes worth having right away. Every version now ships for Mac and Windows together, so both stay in step from here on.

  • Improved Windows (beta): updates now arrive with each release, Codex and Gemini connect, and settings links, shortcut hints and wording all match Windows.
  • Fixed Long voice recordings no longer crash the app. Speech is transcribed in short pieces as you talk, and tap-to-talk stops itself at 10 minutes with a countdown, keeping everything you said.
  • Fixed Connector errors show the full reason instead of cutting off, with a toggle to see the whole message.

v0.3.89

Talk to your agents

8 new2 improved1 fixed

A few new features and fixes are rolling out today, with a lot more on the way soon to make this a more robust experience.

  • New Voice mode (beta): talk to your agent and hear replies read aloud as they stream. Tap the mic to set up dictation, then use the sound-wave button beside it.
  • New Your voice is transcribed on your Mac, so the audio never leaves it. The agent only receives the text, as if you typed it.
  • New A natural voice for replies: a one-time download gives the agent a more human-sounding voice. The built-in Mac voice fills in until then.
  • New Press Esc to leave voice mode anytime. It follows the session you’re looking at, so other sessions stay quiet.
  • New The window adapts as you resize it: panels tuck away when space gets tight, and return once you widen back.
  • New Docs now render tables, task checklists, strikethrough and clickable links.
  • New Docs can go full screen, just like Preview.
  • New Reorder your projects: drag them in the rail, or use Alt plus the arrow keys.
  • Improved Rename a session by double-clicking anywhere on it, or press F2.
  • Improved A chat that keeps overflowing right after it’s summarized now recovers on its own, or says exactly why it can’t.
  • Fixed Opening a local file from Preview in your browser works again.
v0.3.88

The reliability release

5 new4 improved5 fixed
  • New Fable 5.1 is in the picker: Claude’s newest model, on your Claude login and on Granular Hosted.
  • New Notion works on Gemini again, including creating pages. Notion’s tools are translated into Gemini’s dialect automatically.
  • New Built-in connectors on any model: Notion, Asana, Higgsfield and the rest now work in Codex and Gemini sessions too.
  • New Connectors no longer need Node installed. The sign-in helper ships inside the app, so they work on a computer with no developer tools.
  • New Walk back through your own prompts: up/down arrows at the chat’s bottom-right jump between the messages you sent, with jump-to-latest right below.
  • Improved A conversation that outgrows a smaller model’s window recovers by itself (fresh thread, recap carried over) and says so. A connector a model can’t accept is called out as a compatibility issue, with the way out.
  • Improved Privacy hardening: prompts and keys no longer appear in the system process list during AI turns; secret values are masked out of every log.
  • Improved Going offline is quiet now: one log line when the connection drops, one when it returns.
  • Improved Figma is out of the connector list for now (it only lets pre-approved apps sign in). If you added it earlier, remove it in Settings β†’ Connections.
  • Fixed When a model or provider refuses a turn, Granular names the real reason instead of β€œan error (unknown)”.
  • Fixed A connector sign-in that fails shows the helper’s actual error, plus the fix: remove and re-add.
  • Fixed Quitting no longer crashes, on manual quit and when an update installs itself.
  • Fixed A rate limit or network blip can no longer lock a healthy AI login out of new sessions.
  • Fixed Connector sign-ins that silently did nothing now work (leftover lock files are cleaned up).
v0.3.87

Your listings, fully in your hands

2 new2 improved2 fixed
  • New Take a live marketplace listing down yourself: Unpublish sits in the card menu, and Delete unlocks after it.
  • New Push changes to a live listing with the new Update listing button. Updates go live instantly, no re-review.
  • Improved Opening the app twice now focuses the running window instead of piling up hidden copies.
  • Improved Web pages in the preview can no longer ask for your mic or location, and installs stay inside your project.
  • Fixed A stuck AI error that repeated forever now heals itself: the session rebuilds fresh and carries on.
  • Fixed Long project names no longer collide with the logo in the title bar, and names truncate cleanly.
v0.3.86

Boss with superpowers & more

6 new
  • New The boss runs workers hands free: reports flow back, it merges, re-tasks and replies, pausing only for real decisions.
  • New Autopilot is one switch: on, the whole loop runs itself under an hourly cap; off, every report waits for your click.
  • New It can answer a worker’s blocked terminal prompt too. Risky or secret prompts always stay with you.
  • New It sets workers up as well: account, model and thinking effort at spawn, plus a clean dismiss once work is merged.
  • New A session can pick up a roadmap card itself and pin it to its chat, and many sessions can share one card. A new Testing column holds finished work for your review.
  • New Hide the whole sidebar: projects and sessions glide back in as a hover overlay from the title bar.

v0.3.85

Connected means usable

3 new1 improved2 fixed
  • New Claude Sonnet 5 is now in the model picker for CLI and API sign-ins.
  • New Gemini sessions now show a card for every connector action, so you can see what they did in Notion, Drive and more.
  • New Connect your own OpenAI compatible endpoint too, not just Anthropic, and stack models behind it.
  • Improved A connector that is signed in but whose calls keep failing now says so, instead of a false green Connected.
  • Fixed Removing and re-adding a connector now forces a genuinely fresh sign-in, so a stale session cannot linger.
  • Fixed A conversation the model quietly shortened now shows one line saying so, instead of changing under you unseen.
v0.3.84

Many models, one Granular

3 new2 improved1 fixed
  • New Nineteen models from OpenAI, Google, Anthropic and more, all on one Granular Hosted balance.
  • New Connect your own Anthropic compatible endpoint, like OpenRouter or Z.ai, and stack models behind it.
  • New Buy hosted plans and credit packs in Settings, without leaving the app.
  • Improved Dictation got much more accurate, and still runs entirely on your Mac.
  • Improved The model picker now shows what each model is good at, and what a typical message costs.
  • Fixed Picking a model your Codex login cannot serve no longer dead ends the turn with raw error text.
Adding a custom model provider
Bring your own provider, not just the built-in ones.
The Granular model picker
Every model you can reach, in one picker.
v0.3.82

Talk to your agents

6 new
  • New Tap the mic and just talk. Dictation turns speech into your prompt, on your Mac, never leaving it.
  • New Step away freely. A native alert (and optional chime) fires the moment an agent finishes or needs you.
  • New Your Gmail, Notion, and Drive now follow you to every engine: Codex and Gemini included, not just Claude.
  • New Give each project its own account. Every new session and worker starts on the right login, automatically.
  • New Stack prompts while an agent works: reorder, pause, save for later, or fire one in right now.
  • New Now runs natively on Intel Macs, and each app is about half the download, built purely for its own chip.
Dictation in the Granular composer
Tap the mic and talk instead of typing.
Queued prompts waiting for the agent
Queue the next instruction while an agent is still working.
An agent alert in Granular
Alerts when an agent needs you, so you can walk away.
v0.3.81

Connections you can count on

2 new2 improved2 fixed
  • New Connect GitHub with browser sign-in or a pasted token: repos, issues, and pull requests in your sessions.
  • New Drive any session from your phone, Codex and Gemini included, with your conversation intact across restarts.
  • Improved Buying and activating now work on strict work networks. If a firewall blocks it, the app says so and shows the fix.
  • Improved The Codex model picker offers the full current lineup, and Codex installs are found wherever they live.
  • Fixed The stray β€œlogin expired” error is gone for good. A signed-out leftover login can no longer catch new sessions.
  • Fixed A session that overfills its memory now recovers with a recap instead of failing on every retry.
v0.3.80

Sign-in you can trust

1 new5 fixed
  • New Sign in to Codex with a link and a short code. Approve on any device, with no browser hand-off that could fail.
  • Fixed New sessions no longer start on a signed-out login. They pick your live account, so first messages never dead-end.
  • Fixed Tasks a boss hands to workers now run on the account picked in that worker’s pane.
  • Fixed Force stop always works. Even a task that already died quietly clears with one click.
  • Fixed Sessions can no longer show β€œworking” forever after a task dies. Status follows what is really running.
  • Fixed The β€œRe-sign in” card no longer pops up under healthy replies that merely talk about signing in.
v0.3.79

Preview at any screen size

2 new1 improved1 fixed
  • New Preview your work at phone, tablet, and desktop sizes, with iPhone and iPad frames, rotate, and a fluid desktop view.
  • New A β€œWhat’s new” panel when Granular updates, plus the full release history any time in Settings β†’ General.
  • Improved The β€œCatch me up” card now shows in every context, so picking up where you left off is always one click.
  • Fixed Raw command output now looks right in light theme. It was styled for dark mode only.
